Look out for these scenic movies to give you inspiration for your next trip.

1. Point Break

The remake of this surfing movie (originally starring Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze) will be filmed in Australia, Italy, Switzerland, France, Mexico, Venezuela, French Polynesia and India rather than California. An undercover detective (Luke Bracey) has to investigate a series of bank jobs that are being carried out by a masked surfer gang. Look out for paradise beach scenes and rolling waves throughout.

2. The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

The sequel to the 2011 smash hit comedy starring Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Bill Nighy sees a group of pensioners stay at a dysfunctional hotel run by charming Sonny. Filmed in Rajasthan, including the cities of Jaipur and Udaipur, it highlights the colours and sounds reflected in true Indian life, and you may just spot Richard Gere this time around!

3. Autobahn

Felicity Jones, Nicholas Hoult and Anthony Hopkins have teamed up for this European chase thriller involving an American backpacker who gets caught up in a Munich drug smuggling ring, while trying to find a way to pay for his girlfriend’s surgery. Filmed around Cologne, Monschau and other parts of Germany, this will certainly give you a taste for this interesting country.

4. Jurassic World

Coming 13 years after the third film, this sequel will star Chris Pratt as Owen – an ex-military man who tries to save the day after dinosaurs break loose. Stunning Hawaii locations Oahu and Kauai feature, plus an interesting abandoned theme park in Louisiana. If you decide to visit these places we’re sure you will be safe from Dinosaurs… we think.

5. Spectre

Bond is back, and as always he travels to a plethora of exotic locations. This time the team has been filming in Austria, Rome, and Morocco, all worlds away from each other in atmosphere but equally inspiring. He will star alongside Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci and Christoph Waltz in his fourth posting as Bond.
